Take Twelve: August

Today was pure Sabbath.
It's hard to get Genevieve to look at the camera because she is so much more interested in her sister.

All ready to ride to church.

Nowhere else I'd rather be on a Sunday morning.

Nursing the baby in my office after worship.

Ben took a Sunday off - spent the morning reading at Starbucks.

Homemade bread, homemade pesto, homegrown tomatoes, fresh mozzarella. I put these in the oven for 10 minutes at 450 and they were amazing.

Corn on the cob, Juliette's very favorite.

Harvesting beans and tomatoes.

We have a whole bunch of black-eyed susans.

The green beans didn't even make it into the fridge - I snapped and steamed them right up for dinner.

Juliette and I played Memory. She's very good, though I still beat her because I am a mean mama who does not let the kid win.

Homemade chocolate ice cream.

  4. So much healthy, home grown goodness. My memory is so bad, that I actually stink at memory games. Which worked well for my kids and for me, when they were little, because they could actually beat me. I didn't have to decide whether to let them win or not.
