For the last 18 hours I've had severe back pain, the same back pain about which I have blogged here and here. Only now, I have a nine pound baby in my care, and I can hardly lift her. This is all a little bit beyond the pale of what I can cope with right now.
Here's hoping the new chiropractor and the megadose of Motrin will do the trick, and soon.
let me help in any way I can. Lean on me

Oh, feel better!
ReplyDeleteOh,no! My back ached a lot when I had infants around and I didn't even have a history of back trouble. I hope the planned treatment works!
ReplyDeleteI rarely comment but I enjoy your blog---and wanted to congrat you on the beautiful babe. I had back labor with my first, and that adds to all that your back is dealing with---also, make sure you are not bending over to nurse. Do you have a bobby pillow or something to bring her up to your breast so you don't slouch while nursing (since you're going to be doing that all day anyway!).
ReplyDeleteI'm expecting my 3rd (in 5 wks) and the best thing I was told during those early first days of total highs and emotional lows was to remember no one moment defines you as a mother. Tough moments will come, and they are only made harder if we are judging ourselves or anything they somehow define how we will be as a mom.
Hope that helpful. Peace.
oh! i hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteyes, sending you healing mercies a plenty.
ReplyDeleteoh dear - prayers coming your way
ReplyDeleteYikes! I hope you'll get the help you need, in all ways.
ReplyDeleteoh no! that is awful! thinking positive thoughts for you today!
ReplyDeleteOh! Sorry about the back pain!
ReplyDeleteYour Juliette is beautiful!
Katherine! So sorry! Sending prayers of relief and comfort.
ReplyDeleteI tried to send you a very funny card, but had the wrong address, so it came back. One day, I will try again, but know I've been thinking about you a lot.
Sending prayers for relief soon! I feel your pain. I had a ruptured disk this summer and had to have surgery - but I didn't have a nine pound bundle to take care of. Feel better soon - so you can fully enjoy the little one and life.
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better!
