Ben's Back

While Ben was in Joliet this weekend, I tried my best not to dissolve. I don't do well in the house by my lonesome; I end up eating Frosted Flakes for dinner and spending a lot of time in my pajamas, fiddling with my blog template. I could have accomplished so much on Saturday - the long overdue trip to the P.O. to send Andrea's birthday gift (um, yeah, her birthday is in JUNE), housecleaning, the first chapter of my novel - but no, I bummed around. It's all I could do to handle the basics. One of the things on my list of essentials was to remove all of Deacon's treasures from the backyard before the parsonage gardener came on Saturday morning. I was really paranoid that I would wake up and forget, so I left myself this note on the bathroom sink:When Ben saw it last night, he said, "Did you really think you were going to forget to pick me up from the airport?"

I think we are siblings. That's generally what I do on my days the SO is out of town...I become strangely unproductive. My church history prof said everybody needs a pajama day, though, and she's smart....so it must be a spiritual discipline ;)

Ben is hilarious! I would stay in jammies and eat cereal all day too--if it weren't for the kids.

At least you know Joliet isn't a hot vacation spot, and he missed you too.

You have to love a man with a sense of humor.

Glad to hear (via Jo(e)) that it's a sense of humor, and not just a sense of raging insecurity and low self-esteem! :)

Ha!

I am equally useless in free time like that... I have to really watch myself when Matt is away so I don't spend the whole evening in my PJs fiddling on the computer, putzing around the house... you come by it naturally : )

Ha ha ha to Ben.

Huh .... all I woulda done upon seeing that note would have been to remind you that they have these newfangled dodads on the sides of toilets today where you can make the poop just vanish with having to .... ahh ... get your hands dirty!

frosted flakes for dinner actually sounds so yummy! But I do understand not liking it when your spouse travels overnight. I don't like that one little bit.
